Letters from the Moon is an indie, pick your own story style sci-fi mobile game in development by Marvelous Spiral Studios.
Dorothy Chen is a Chinese-American astronaut for the International Space Exploration Agency selected for a special mission – a return to the moon. However, there is a problem: a malfunction causes the ISEA landing capsule to crash. While separated from her crewmates and running low on oxygen, Dorothy finds an entrance to a vast, long-dead, underground civilization beneath the surface of the moon. Can she survive the mutated canines, malfunctioning robots, and unknown threats in a deserted alien underground city? That is up to you.
Letters from the Moon will be a mobile and PC game that plays similarly to the old choose your own adventure style books. It will also include an inventory system that gives Dorothy different choice options. There are six special endings where Dorothy succeeds and writes a letter home to Earth, hoping her mother will read it. Can you unlock them all?
The story is written by Stephen Weese, who has previously written the sci-fi feature film Altered Spirits, which was released on Amazon. Stephen is the CEO of Marvelous Spiral Studios and has written ten full-feature screenplays, as well as two published non-fiction books. His favorite genres are sci-fi and fantasy.
